Hobbit House Incense Burner, 2024

This is the piece that started my journey into whimsical pieces. I had recently injured my shoulder and I begrudgingly picked up hand building to keep myself busy until I could throw pieces on the wheel again. It took this one piece for me to fall in love with hand building and creating playful pieces filled with joy. It sounds silly to say this piece changed my life, but it really did. Without it, I don’t know if Emerging Oak would have begun.
